Community Supported Agriculture
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a great way to support the farm and get a share of the coming season's harvest. You receive a good value for fresh, local vegetables and in turn, the farm receives income in the winter months when the seed, plant and supply bills are piling up and other farm income is minimal or non-existent.
What is a CSA Share?
Vegetable CSA: One share is at least one half-bushel of Allandale Farm grown produce per week for 20 weeks beginning in mid June. Your share will typically include 10-12 different vegetables each week. We recommend one share for families/groups with 2-4 people. In your box, you will find a full representation of the crops we are harvesting at that point in the season.
When and where do I pick up my CSA Share?
Shares are picked up at the farm on Tuesdays or Wednesdays - your choice - between 2PM-7PM.
Are there other benefits to being a CSA member?
Yes! Our cashiers will have your name on file so that you can receive 10% off all in-store purchases on your weekly pick-up day. You will also receive a weekly CSA newsletter with crop and farm information, recipes and more. Join our email list to receive notification of CSA and other farm news.
What will I receive in my share?
Each week, you'll receive a diverse array of fresh vegetables representative of what we are harvesting from our fields. Your share might include seasonal combinations of...
Arugula, beans, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, eggplant, fennel, garlic and garlic scapes, greens, herbs, leeks, lettuce, new potatoes, onions, sweet and hot peppers, radishes, scallions, spinach, spring lettuce mix, summer squash, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnips, watermelon, winter squash, and zucchini.
See something you can't stand? This season, we'll have a Swap Box so you can drop it and swap it! Leave behind those veggies you've had enough of, and grab something extra that you absolutely love.
What is a CSA Work Share Volunteer?
Our work share volunteers will commit to 10 5.5-hour shifts throughout the CSA season and in exchange will receive one CSA share (20 weeks of produce June-October). Volunteer CSA representatives are the face of the CSA, providing a welcoming and friendly visitor experience. Volunteers will greet shareholders, help them navigate their pick-ups, pass along important information, relay feedback to farmers, and answer questions. They are also responsible for restocking and maintaining CSA displays. If you’re interested in exchanging your time for a share of our CSA, please email Chelsea at email@example.com.
Partnership with Tiny Hearts Farm
The 2018 Flower CSA registration is now closed!
In our effort to continue offering the highest quality, and largest diversity of vegetables at Allandale Farm, we have scaled back our own flower production. This season, we are excited to continue our partnership with Tiny Hearts Farm so that we may continue to offer a high quality, local, sustainable flower CSA option.
Tiny Hearts Farm is a family-run, organic flower farm located on 15 acres in Copake, NY. They are truly committed to gorgeous cut flowers. We’re so excited that we get to share all their hard work with you!

2018 Farm Bucks registration is now closed!
In addition to our CSA program, we have decided to offer this alternative way to purchase vegetables at a discount. Like a CSA, the Farm Bucks program allows you to help support our farm in the early part of the season by paying in advance for Farm Bucks to be used in the store during our long harvest season. Plus, they are worth more than the dollars you spend on them!
