2024 Events
10/19: Hayrides & Movie Night in the Glass Greenhouse | 5-8 PM
From 5-6:30, bring a picnic to enjoy at the Head of Pond lawn and/or hop on a hayride with Farmer Mike. From 6:30 - 8, we’ll be streaming a family-friendly movie night in our Glass Greenhouse. Vote for which movie we should stream here! We’ll have a few chair options available for movie seating, but recommend you bring a comfy lawn or beach chair to sit in. Bring your family or a friend or two. Let us know how many folks we can expect in your RSVP.
9/23: Tomato Sauce Class with Mike | 6 PM - 7 PM
Learn how to make an easy but delicious tomato sauce from Farmer Mike on Monday 9/23 from 6-7pm. You’ll leave with a recipe, 20lbs of tomatoes, as well as garlic, onions, and basil! Register here!
7/16: Pickle Making Class with Mike | 6 PM - 7 PM
Learn how to make quick pickles from Farmer Mike on Tuesday 7/16 from 6-7pm. You’ll leave with a recipe, 5lbs cucumbers, garlic, onions, dill, maybe even a jalapeno if he’s feeling spicy.
6/17: Tomato Plant Pruning with Mike | 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM
Join Head Farmer Mike for a scenic walk back to our tomato fields where we'll discuss tips and tricks for pruning this popular plant. Bring comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, and your questions!
6/8: Preserving the Harvest - Spring Onion Preservation Demo | 11 AM - 12:30 PM
Join us as we take a deep dive into this month's feature produce, Spring Onions. We'll be hosting a brief cooking demonstration to share some of our favorite ways to prepare these humble allium, along with tips and tricks on how to preserve the bounty and get the most out of your CSA share haul. We hope to host more of these demos over the course of the season--let us know if you're interested in learning about preserving a certain veggie!

Sugar Snap Pea Salad with Radishes, Mint, & Ricotta Salata
Morgan has been an Allandale CSA member for 5 years! This past summer, she enjoyed “so many special salads,” like this one! Morgan also recommends Bon Appetit’s Radicchio, Fennel, and Olive Panzanella recipe.
Garlic Scape Egg Soup
Abby is back for a second CSA year with Allandale and is excited to recommend this recipe! Abby made this last year and says “it may look weird, but trust us!” The garlic scapes look great this week—let us know if you make it!

Waffled Crab Cakes with Sweet Potatoes & Garlicky Greens
Rachel and Ari regularly plan their Wednesday meals around the Jordan Brothers Fish Truck at Allandale. Allandale-grown parsley, chives, onion, garlic, sweet potatoes and kale helped round out this delicious mid-week dinner.
Summery Zucchini Pasta with Meyer Lemon, Feta, and Pinenuts

Calabrian Chili Butter Eggplant with Crispy Chickpeas
Angela loves Allandale eggplant & is always searching for new ways to prepare it during its peak harvest. This recipe was a hit last year & she and her fiancé plan to make it again with this year’s CSA haul.
