March 14th is delectable Mathematical Holiday! The number π, approximately equal to 3.1416, is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. π or pi is a mathematical constant. Since pi sounds like the scrumptious and circular pie, March 14th (in honor of 3.14) is a perfect day to eat a mathematically constant amount of pie.
Celebrate all things round and circular with some awesome Big Little Pies! BLP has a delicious pie menu of apple, sour cherry, strawberry rhubarb, and a Pi Day special, Pineapple Coconut.
Big Little Pies is a woman-owned pie bakery based out of Commonwealth Kitchen in Dorchester. Born from an obsession with making mini pies from the "leftover" pie dough, Big Little Pies specializes in delightfully handcrafted personal pies. Each and every pie is made from scratch using basic ingredients, starting with an all butter crust to real fruit fillings. These pies are made with the best ingredients and a whole lot of love.
